Pin Grading Guide

Pin Grading Scale

Please keep in mind when purchasing - Pin grading is subjective and varies from maker to maker. Since enamel pins are handmade items, they will not be 100% perfect!

Standard Pins

The highest quality of pin that I offer. These are pins that appear to be perfect within 12" inch distance.

  • light marks or scratches on metal/enamel surface
  • minor metal discolorations
  • specks, dots, or bubbles on enamel
  • low or uneven fills (not on main objects/parts)
  • light Imperfections on the back side of pin
  • stray glitter (on glitter pins)

Seconds Pins

Seconds pins have one or multiple flaws. Such flaws include:
  •  smudges or scratches on enamel surface
  • oxidization of the metal
  • slightly loose posts/backings
  • overflowing enamel fills
  • completely unfilled areas
  • low fills in larger or visually important areas

I do not offer Perfect Collector's Grade pins, sorry love =(
